CoBank's quarterly update says the Ukraine-Russia war mainly affects grain and energy markets, while global trade should keep growing. It expects the Federal Reserve to raise rates by 250 basis points in 2022, possibly more.
CoBank also expects inflation and commodity prices to ease by summer.
Expected Fed tightening tends to strengthen the US dollar and can weigh on commodity prices, which matters for feed input costs and export competitiveness.
