High Plains Journal republished the USDA ERS analysis that US wheat export prices surged after the Russia-Ukraine conflict. HRW prices were up 78% and SRW up 64% in March from a year earlier.
Domestic rail and transport problems and Plains drought have also supported US prices.
The analysis shows US wheat is priced at a premium to competitors while Black Sea supply stays uncertain, which supports US wheat values and the cost of wheat used in feed.
