U.S. ethanol exports fell 13% in March to 125.1 million gallons, the lowest March total in six years, with China and Brazil absent from the market. DDGS exports rose 6% to 927,134 metric tons, with Mexico remaining the top buyer and South Korea and Vietnam posting strong gains.
Stronger DDGS export demand supports feed co-product values and offers a competitive substitute for corn and soymeal in feed rations. Weaker ethanol shipments point to softer overall ethanol demand, which can weigh on corn grind and co-product supply.
