Wheat quotes fell on July 27 after traders took profits on a better-than-expected US spring wheat yield and anticipation of the first grain ships leaving Ukrainian ports. Chicago SRW fell 1.7% and Kansas City HRW fell 1.8%, and the UN said exports could resume within days.
Expected resumption of Ukrainian sea exports adds supply and pressures wheat prices, partly offset by the logistical risks of ships and mines in the corridor.
