A Reuters poll put the 2022 EU soft wheat crop at 125.7 million tonnes, down 3.4% from last year. Drought and heat cut yields in Spain, Italy and parts of France, while rain improved prospects in northern Europe.
A smaller EU wheat crop reduces exportable supply to importers that are already short of Black Sea grain, supporting wheat and barley feed prices.
