The EU's nitrogen fertilizer output is being cut by an estimated 400,000 to 500,000 tonnes per month, according to Argus Media, with plant shutdowns starting in Poland and spreading to producers such as Achema, Yara and Borealis. Less than 30 percent of UAN capacity is expected to run by early fall.
