Oil rose from a nine-month low as supply curbs in the U.S. Gulf ahead of Hurricane Ian and a softer dollar supported prices. Brent ended at $86.27, up 2.6%, and WTI rose 2.33% to $78.50.
Hurricane-related Gulf shut-ins tighten near-term crude supply, lifting energy input costs. The dollar softening adds support but the broader trend is weak.
