The World Bank and Global Trade Alert report a surge in trade restrictions on food, fertilizers, fuels and raw materials exported by Russia and Ukraine since the start of 2022. Many countries have imposed export bans or restrictions and temporary import tariff cuts to secure supplies.
Export restrictions tighten global availability of grains, oilseeds and fertilizer inputs, supporting prices for feed ingredients and raising the cost of producing them.
