The US dollar index fell 0.48% to 111.01 on Tuesday as traders weighed a less aggressive Federal Reserve ahead of its meeting. The Australian dollar rose from one-week lows but trailed after the RBA kept its quarter-point pace of hikes.
A weaker dollar ahead of a possibly smaller Fed hike supports commodity prices priced in dollars, though the effect on feed markets is indirect.
