Eurostat estimates EU farms produced 161.0 million tonnes of raw milk in 2021, up 0.7 million tonnes or 0.4% from 2020. Italy and Ireland rose while Germany, France and the Netherlands declined.
Most output went to dairies for butter, cheese and drinking milk.
Stable EU milk supply in 2021 provides a historical baseline and has limited direct effect on current feed demand or dairy prices.
