Export curbs fail to arrest India's booming rice shipments, sources say

India's rice exports rose 3.5% in 2022 to a record 22.26 million tonnes despite the September export curbs. Buyers in Asia and Africa kept purchasing on competitive prices, and India shipped more than 2 million tonnes in December alone.
