U.S. natural gas futures strengthened on April 17 as weather models trended cooler for late April. The May contract settled at $2.275/MMBtu, up 16 cents, while LNG feed gas demand hit a new high.
Cooler weather boosts heating demand and supports gas prices in a market otherwise well supplied. Feed commodity prices are not directly affected.
