Ukraine exported about 400,000 tonnes of soybean meal from September to April, 20% ahead of last year, with Poland taking 48%. Sunflower meal exports were flat year on year at 2.7 million tonnes, with the EU share rising sharply.
Ukraine is gaining share of EU protein meal imports, displacing some Brazilian and Argentine supply. The effect on prices is small but relevant to EU meal buyers.
