Shell resumed maintenance at the Nyhamna gas processing terminal in Norway after a postponement caused by a cooling system problem. The outage had reduced Norwegian output and contributed to higher British and Dutch gas prices.
Lower Norwegian pipeline supply to Europe tightens the regional gas balance and lifts European gas prices. Restarting the plant eases that pressure.
