US Wheat Associates reviews the 2022/23 marketing year, noting China became the largest wheat importer with record June WASDE imports of 14.0 million tonnes and its US purchases rose 38%. Mexico, the Philippines, Japan and South Korea remain top US buyers.
Strong Chinese import demand supports US export flows, but overall US wheat exports remain constrained by competitive pricing.
