China's foreign exchange regulator SAFE said on July 21 that the country still has tools to stabilise yuan expectations. Its deputy head Wang Chunying said US tightening spillovers will weaken and the Fed is nearing the end of its rate hikes.
Expectations of a stabilising yuan and an end to US rate hikes reduce pressure on dollar-priced commodity imports, though the effect on feed prices is indirect.
