The Indian government prohibited exports of de-oiled rice bran until November 30 through a DGFT notification. The move follows sharp domestic rises in milk and milk product prices driven by soaring fodder costs, with DORB prices up to Rs 18,000-18,500 per tonne.
DORB is a key cattle, poultry and fish feed ingredient, so the ban tightens feed-ingredient availability. Buyers may see support for rice-bran-based feed prices.
