September WASDE: Ringing in 50 Years with Reduced Corn, Soybean Yields and Lower Livestock Production Expectations

USDA's September WASDE, released Sept. 12, incorporated objective yield plot results for the first time this season.

Corn yield was cut 1.3 bushels to 173.8 bu/acre, and planted area rose to 94.9 million acres, while soybean yields were also reduced.

重要性

A lower US corn and soybean yield projection tightens domestic supply, supporting feed grain and meal prices for buyers, though record ear counts partly offset the cut.
