US natural gas futures rose about 1% on October 23 after an eight-day losing streak, as forecasts called for cooler weather and higher heating demand. Record output and ample storage kept prices under pressure.
Colder forecasts can lift gas demand and ease the bearish supply overhang, although heavy output limits the rally.
