USDA's November WASDE projects a record 2023/24 US corn harvest of 15.234 billion bushels, up 170 million bushels from October on a yield increase to 174.9 bushels per acre. The report adds 75 million bushels to domestic use, 50 million to exports and 45 million to ending stocks.
Analysts expect storage not to be a national constraint, though Ohio and Indiana face storage deficits.
A larger US corn supply and higher ending stocks add bearish pressure on corn prices. Tight storage and low Mississippi River levels could still constrain movement in some eastern states.
