The IEA forecasts global natural gas demand will rise 2.5%, or 100 billion cubic meters, in 2024, with growth concentrated in Asia Pacific and gas-rich African and Middle Eastern markets. It also expects LNG trade to grow about 3.5% and China's LNG imports to rise more than 10%.
Stronger Asian gas and LNG demand, with supply growth constrained by project delays, points to tighter markets and higher price volatility.
