New York Harbor barge ULSD rose 24.07 cents to $4.87/USG, the highest since November 2022, as futures climbed on Middle East tensions and supply concerns. Distillate stocks on the Central Atlantic coast fell to historically low levels, and export loadings rose sharply.
Low East Coast distillate inventories and high regional differentials raise delivered diesel costs for feed and grain transport. The Middle East risk premium supports higher crude and distillate prices.
