Members of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference are voting on a possible strike at CN and CPKC, with the vote running April 8 to May 1 and a earliest legal strike date of May 22. The Western Grain Elevator Association warns a stoppage would be near-absolute for bulk grain movement.
Grain sales were already flatlined by rail car shortages.
