The US Commerce Department preliminarily found countervailable subsidies on phosphate fertilizers from Morocco for the 2022 review period. The review was requested by Mosaic and covers OCP S.A. shipments from January 1 to December 31, 2022.
The preliminary subsidy finding supports the proposed duty increase on Moroccan phosphate, which could restrict US phosphate import supply and firm fertilizer prices.
