Brazil's foreign trade secretary Tatiana Prazeres said recent real volatility is harming the predictability of trade. The real closed near 5.52 per dollar, its weakest close since January 2022, amid high US rates and local fiscal uncertainty.
Currency swings make Brazilian export pricing less predictable for buyers, while a weaker real tends to encourage exports and pressure dollar-denominated grain and meal prices.
