IATP says a USMCA panel hearing on Mexico's GM corn and glyphosate restrictions will be held June 26-27 in Mexico City, with a preliminary decision expected this fall. IATP urges panelists to examine economic harm and Indigenous rights as well as science.
The hearing is a procedural step toward a ruling on Mexican corn import restrictions, a long-term factor for US corn export demand.
