USDA's June WASDE held its 2024-25 U.S. corn projections unchanged from May, at 14.86 billion bushels on 181 bpa yield and 90 million planted acres. Demand estimates were also unchanged, with feed and residual use at 5.75 billion bushels and ethanol at 5.45 billion.
The report left U.S. ending stocks neutral for corn, soybeans and wheat.
The unchanged balance sheet removed a possible bullish catalyst that traders had expected, so prices lack a new supply or demand signal. The focus shifts to acreage and yield in the next report.
