Brazil soybean meal export market higher ahead of EU sustainability rule

Brazilian soybean meal spot prices rose from near four-year lows, with Platts assessing FOB Paranagua at $367.29/mt on August 22 versus $349.43/mt on August 12. Buyers in Europe were more active ahead of the EU Deforestation Regulation taking effect December 30.

重要性

Stronger European buying and a favorable exchange rate lift Brazilian meal export prices from lows, supporting global soymeal values. The EUDR-driven front-loading may be temporary, so the rebound could fade.
