The dollar weakened on Friday after US inflation data showed price pressures continuing to cool. The PCE price index rose 0.1% in August and was up 2.2% over twelve months.
Cooler inflation supports expectations of further Fed easing, which tends to weaken the dollar and support dollar-priced commodities.
