USTR chief agricultural negotiator Doug McKalip said he expects a dispute settlement panel decision in favor of US corn producers in the fall. He said the US has held strong in its arguments against Mexico's GM corn ban under USMCA.
A ruling favoring the US would support export demand for US corn to Mexico, the largest buyer, while a loss would keep trade restricted and pressure US corn prices.
