The US dollar held firm as traders awaited details of Trump's proposed policies and questioned whether the Fed would cut rates as aggressively. The dollar index was near a one-year high of 107.07, and about 54% odds of a December Fed cut were priced in, down from 82.5% a week earlier.
A stronger dollar tends to pressure dollar-denominated grain and oilseed prices and makes US exports less competitive. Expectations for slower Fed easing support the dollar.
