S&P Global reports Brazil's soybean harvest for 2024-25 is forecast at a record 175 million mt, up 14.4% from the prior crop. Brazilian biodiesel producers expect higher soybean oil prices in the second half of 2025 due to a rising biofuel blend and possible US-China trade tensions.
A larger crush capacity boosts soybean meal and oil supply, while rising biodiesel blending tightens soyoil, supporting oil prices and possibly pulling in tallow imports.
