S&P Global's 2025 outlook says US ethanol output hit a record weekly high of 1.119 million b/d in late November, with exports also at records. Ethanol prices fell for a second year, but the firm forecasts higher prices in 2025 on stronger demand and rising corn prices.
Record ethanol output and exports tend to pull more corn into processing and keep DDGS supplies ample, while the expected 2025 price recovery supports corn demand.
