The EIA weekly average US retail diesel price rose 11.3 cents to $3.715 per gallon, the highest since August. The increase followed a jump in ULSD futures driven by US sanctions on Russian oil shipping.
Higher diesel raises transport and fuel surcharge costs for feed ingredients and grain moving by truck. The sanctions-driven rally adds upside risk to energy-linked feed costs.
