Oil settled at a multi-month high on January 15 after a draw in US crude stocks and new Russia sanctions. Brent rose to $82.03, its highest since August 2024, and WTI rose to $80.04, its highest since July.
Sanctions on Russian supply and a US stock draw lifted crude to multi-month highs, raising diesel and fertilizer input costs for feed producers.
