Malaysian palm oil stocks fell 6.91% to a 19-month low at the end of December. Crude palm oil output dropped 8.3% to 1.49 million tons, its lowest since March 2024, and exports fell 9.97% to a six-month low of 1.34 million tons.
Tighter Malaysian supplies reduce the export availability that importers rely on, supporting palm oil prices and encouraging buyers to look at substitute vegetable oils.
