US ethanol exports rose 2% in January to 198.1 million gallons, a nine-month high, led by India. Canada remained the top destination despite a 14% drop, while DDGS exports fell 24% to a 21-month low of 811,480 metric tons on mixed global demand.
A sharp drop in DDGS exports adds to feed supply pressure and weighs on DDGS prices. Strong ethanol exports to India support ethanol demand, which partly offsets this.
