The GEOGLAM Crop Monitor for AMIS reports that at the end of February wheat and soybean conditions were mixed, while maize and rice were generally favourable. Winter wheat is mostly dormant in the Northern Hemisphere under mixed conditions in several regions, and southern hemisphere soybeans face hot, dry weather in Argentina and southern Brazil.
Mixed wheat and soybean conditions add modest weather risk to supply expectations, while favourable maize and rice conditions keep near-term supply comfortable. The overall signal is limited, so price impact is likely small.
