StoneX's weekly FX review says the Brazilian real gained 2.0% against the dollar for the week, with the dollar index up 0.6% on the week after a 4.4% monthly drop. Currency markets were volatile on mixed signals from US-China trade negotiations.
A weaker real makes Brazilian soybean, corn and meal exports cheaper in dollar terms, so currency moves feed into Brazilian export competitiveness and global feed prices.
