Final figures show Australia's 2024-25 winter grain harvest reached 59.8 million tonnes, up 26% from the prior season and the third-largest on record. Only Victoria and South Australia saw declines, and the gross value of agricultural production is estimated at $92 billion.
Growers have sizeable surplus volumes available for export.
A large completed crop adds exportable wheat and barley supply in the coming marketing year, which is bearish for prices. Much of this harvest is already known to the market, so the impact is modest.
