The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service's monthly Oilseeds: World Markets and Trade report projects record 2025/26 global oilseed production of 692 million tonnes, up 2%, with oilseed meal output rising 3% to 400 million tonnes. Global oilseed trade is expected to grow 3%, driven by soybean exports, while sunflower oil prices are falling on record crops.
Record oilseed and meal output points to ample supply of protein meals for feed buyers, which is bearish for meal prices. Growing soybean trade partly offsets weakness in rapeseed exports.
