South Australian and Victorian barley prices held steady to firmer over the past month, at roughly A$325-330/t at Outer Harbor and A$345-349/t in Geelong. Delivered domestic prices in Adelaide reached up to A$390/t as dry weather pushed graziers to buy more feed barley.
Dry conditions and tightening stocks ahead of the November harvest support Australian feed barley prices, and barley is diverging from weaker corn prices. Buyers should expect firm local feed costs until new crop arrives.
