The Canadian dollar rose to a nine-day high against the U.S. dollar on Thursday, trading near 1.3625, its biggest one-day gain in a month. Broad U.S. dollar weakness followed a softer U.S. GDP revision and reports about the Federal Reserve chair succession.
A weaker U.S. dollar supports dollar-priced commodities and can lift U.S. export competitiveness for feed grains. The move is currency-driven and does not directly change grain supply.
