China is introducing measures to expand foreign institutional use of the yuan, including allowing foreign investors to trade more futures and options on mainland exchanges. The PBOC governor also discussed reducing reliance on a single sovereign currency and plans a digital yuan internationalization center in Shanghai.
Yuan internationalization is a longer-term structural shift in currency use, with limited near-term effect on grain, meal or feed prices.
