Brazil's chicken meat exports in May 2025 totaled 363,100 tons, 17.6% below April and the lowest monthly level since August 2024. The decline followed the first HPAI detection in a Brazilian commercial poultry breeding facility, and wholesale frozen chicken prices in São Paulo fell sharply.
Lower Brazilian chicken exports weaken global poultry prices and reduce feed demand from Brazilian integrators, which is bearish for corn and soymeal used in poultry rations.
