Russia extended its temporary ban on rough rice exports until December 31, 2025, to stabilize domestic supply after 2022 flooding in Krasnodar Krai. Exceptions cover Eurasian Economic Union members, humanitarian aid and seed, and a processed rice tariff quota applies.
Russian rough rice is largely removed from world export markets, a modestly supportive factor, though Russia's share of global trade is small relative to Asian supply.
