USD/JPY rose about 1% to near 150.72 after the BOJ held rates and Governor Ueda took a more dovish tone on the timing of future hikes. The US dollar index rose to about 100.05 after core PCE inflation came in at 2.8% year over year.
Dovish BOJ guidance and firmer US inflation support a stronger dollar, which generally pressures dollar-priced grain and oilseed demand from yen-based buyers.
