EUR/USD fell to a seven-week low near 1.1411 after strong US inflation data and a Fed decision to hold rates. The US Dollar Index reached a two-month high near 100.00.
Core PCE rose 2.8% year on year, above forecasts.
Firm US inflation and rate expectations support the dollar, which raises the cost of dollar-priced feed imports for non-US buyers. Strong dollar moves can also pressure US commodity export competitiveness.
