Analysts quoted by the Bangkok Post expect the baht to test 32 per dollar as the greenback weakens on expectations of a September Fed rate cut. The Bank of Thailand had just cut its policy rate by 25 basis points, and CME FedWatch put the odds of a September cut at 99.9%.
A weaker dollar tends to support dollar-priced commodities and can lower import costs for Asian feed buyers, though the move is largely driven by rate expectations already priced in.
