GBP/USD recovered to around 1.3393 after a two-day decline, following August US PCE inflation data that matched forecasts. Core PCE rose 0.2% month on month and was 2.9% year on year.
The dollar index eased to about 98.35 after hitting a three-week high.
In-line inflation data gives the Fed no new reason to tighten, leaving the dollar range-bound and offering little clear direction for dollar-priced feed commodities.
